Race Equality and the NHS- Time for Change
Presented by Dr Vivienne Lyfar-Cissé, Chair of NHS BME Network

The NHS is probably the most diverse employer in the UK, employing more BAME people than any other organisation. But how equal and fair is it as an employer and service provider? This is the question that still challenges the NHS to today. We have seen the NHS go through turbulent times trying to address racism / racial inequality, and although we celebrate the progress to date, there remains much work to do.

This session aims to inspire / empower / encourage BAME staff and allies to challenge racial discrimination in the workplace to make the NHS a living example of the values of equality enshrined in its own constitution.

Please note: This session will be recorded for internal use only.
